For Counsellors, Therapists and Practitioners
Join our Community Network
Counselling can be a lonely business, especially in private practice, so if you are a qualified counsellor/psychotherapist living in the Hampshire or Dorset areas, we’d love you to join our vibrant and supportive community network.
The network is facilitated via a closed Facebook page where we can share resources and offer encouragement and support. Members also receive access to talks and trainings, reflective practice opportunities, peer supervision groups, social gatherings and more!
There is a small monthly fee of £10 for this service.
Hire a Room
We have three beautiful counselling rooms available to rent in the heart of Southampton.
You can rent either by the hour or make a block booking. There is plenty of parking in the local area and there are excellent public transport links nearby. The rooms are charged at an hourly rate of £12 for those in the network (£15 otherwise).
To rent our rooms you will need to hold a professional qualification and registration and be fully insured. Please contact us via the form below for further details.
Student Placements
We offer a small number of placements each year for counselling students in their final stages of training.
A Thrive, we pride ourselves on offering an outstanding service to our students. As a trainee with us, you will be offered free supervision in line with BACP requirements and you’ll also have free access to our supportive community network, as well as our library of counselling books. Our trainees are an integral and highly valued part of the Thrive team.
To be eligible for a placement, you will need to have received your fitness to practice confirmation from your place of study. You are also required to hold student membership of an appropriate professional body and have your student insurance in place and a full DBS.
Recruiting usually begins around March/April and shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview. If you are interested in having a placement with us, please contact us for an application form.
Please note, we are not currently recruiting.
Work with us: Become an Associate
If you are a member of our community network, you may be eligible to join Bargate as an affiliate member.
Our counsellors and psychotherapists cover a broad spectrum of training and experience meaning we can tailor our services to best suit our clients’ needs.
Once a client has been allocated to you, the fee for the initial session is made to Bargate and then an additional 10% of the fee for ongoing sessions. If you require room rental at our offices in Carlton Crescent, you also receive a discount on the room fee for clients allocated through us.
You’ll also have free access to our bespoke payment and booking system which automatically sends out booking confirmations, reminders and payment links to your clients, slashing admin time and ensuring you’re always paid on time.

Rebecca Webb
I am a qualified relational, humanistic counsellor and psychotherapist with a degree based in Transactional Analysis.
Transactional Analysis is a model which focuses on how we interact with others as well as how we see ourselves, others and the world. By reflecting on our thinking, feeling and behaviours we can address those aspects which are blocking us from being able to address current difficulties or perhaps from achieving our potential. I will share this knowledge with you where it would be helpful, to enable you to develop tools that you can use in everyday life beyond the completion of our work. My approach is collaborative, based in my belief that each person has their own inner knowing and wisdom. However sometimes we need an independently trained person to assist us.
I work in a relational way, which means I value the relationship we build. I will aim to build a strong, honest and trusting relationship with you, so together we might find some new ways for you to manage, or change the difficulties that have led you to seek help and support. I am trained and experienced in addiction, gambling, substance misuse, depression, anxiety, self-harm, grief/loss, OCD, isolation, anger, trauma, developmental/early relational trauma, working relationships, abusive and coercive relationships.
You can trust that whoever you work with at Thrive Wellbeing is there to offer a safe, confidential, and respectful space.
